1. By loading kids with high expectations and micromanaging their lives at every turn, parents aren’t actually helping. At least, that’s how Julie Lythcott-Haims sees it. She makes the case for parents to stop defining their children’s success via grades and test scores. Instead, she says, they should focus on providing the oldest idea of all: unconditional love.

2. If you have ever tried to attain perfection before going for something you really wanted, you will be able to relate to this TEDx talk. Reshma Saujani, the founder of Girls Who Code says we’re raising our girls to be perfect and we’re raising our boys to be brave. Does this confuse our girls? should perfection be the goal?

4. Roberto D’Angelo and Francesca Fedeli thought their baby boy Mario was healthy until they discovered he had a perinatal stroke at 10 days old. With Mario unable to control the left side of his body, they grappled with tough questions: Would he be “normal?” Could he live a full life? The poignant story of parents facing their fears — and how they turned them around. They share how they learned a life lesson through this period.

5. Finally, the icing on the cake in our list is about family rituals where Steven Addis talks about the beauty of creating bonds as he shares his father-daughter story. We believe every family should have family rituals as these are the memories that your children remember.
