Hi Lola, you are not alone in this matter! thru out the holidays, my son had a runny nose and cough.i tried everything i could over the counter, luckily, my bro-in-law who is a GP in the UK recommended Zirtek. its actually an allergy medication. he is convinced that most children have higher forms of allergy during the summer, also especially if the lungs are clear.
However, i am not sure if you can buy it over the counter, as it may be a prescription medication.

so pls speak with a pead and get their opinion.

My son seems to have same but his is usually associated with teething, because everytime he has a cough with cold, i always spot d white thing around his gum (my sign of a new tooth developing). I simply use vit c with cough syrup for him….. it never lasts for over a week before it disappears
