High-low, also known as asymmetrical, waterfall, or mullet are characterized by a hem that is higher in the front, or side, than in the back, and has a full circle hem. The style originated in Victorian era dresses and formal gowns, when the hem style became known as the “fishtail”.

After a period of little or no style appreciation, the High-low pieces surfaced again sometime last year and has remained all through the seasons! They are the order of the day here and we’d be giving the yummy Lagosmums style tips on how to rock this very versatile piece.

From the 9-5 working class mums to the stay-at-home strong mums, it’s the new fashion frenzy in town as they are ideal outfit for almost any occasion.

Styling tip: for maximum appreciation, rock your high-low piece with a pair of stunning yet complementing heels.
