Highlights from the speeches by the panelists are as follows:

Parents must do a SWOT analysis for their children to determine their needs academically, spiritually and in other areas. They must also be taught leadership and compassion from the home. Every family should adopt a family charity. – Catherine Bickersteth

Parents should monitor their children closely and work hard to become their friends so they can protect them from the excessive influence of the social media and the risks that accompany it. Who is parenting your child? You or social media? – Tosin Praise-Fowowe

Mums are encouraged to know their priorities and use a team to achieve their goals because no one is superwoman. Ensure you invest a lot in getting the best of “help’ if you are a working mum. – Abiola Okubanjo

Some things some mums who attended said were:

Everybody needs a support group and I believe that many of us who were present on the 22nd of November, 2014, made new friends and hopefully people who will be part of our support group in the future. I know I did – Ollie O.T.

I was so glad I attended the event on Saturday, (learnt a lot too). I so so love the stuff I got in that goody bag! Well done.
