What can your child get out of the writing camp? A lot! When children become authors, they learn to think like authors, increasing their reading comprehension. Children write with an audience in mind as they plan and share their stories with each other. They learn why complete sentences matter and how punctuation changes meaning. They also learn to do work that they are proud of as they take risks in drawing detailed pictures. There are also social skills embedded in a workshop model because children learn how to engage in respectful discussions during sharing time. The camp, which runs from 9-12 daily, is located centrally within Lekki Phase 1- right on the Lekki Central Mosque road.
