NickFest debuts in Lagos with over 4,000 children and their families. Nickelodeon’s first ever NickFest in Lagos made its debut in Nigeria over the weekend courtesy of Nickelodeon, popular family entertainment TV network owned by Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) in partnership with Maltina.
The two-day fun-filled festival which is by far Nigeria’s largest family-centric festival was all shades of fun as kids splashed around in thousands of litres of gloriously gooey slime at the legendary Slime Zone. The venue was transformed into a massive kiddies’ wonderland with amazing toys, fun games and activities, and plenty color, notably the Nickelodeon and Maltina traditional bright orange which helped achieved a vibrantly playful ambience.
Several of the celebrities such as Simi, Yemi Alade got slimed several times over to raise awareness and funds for The North East Children’s Trust. Parents and guardians also had a wonderful time channeling their inner child as they joined the slime dunk at the Slime Zone.
The festival also featured the popular Nickelodeon show characters, Shimmer & Shine, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey & Paw Patrol’s- Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rubble and Sky-, who dazzled both kids and parents with amazing performances.
