President Buhari’s Children Graduate From University of Surrey

Recently the first lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had the double honour of being present at the graduation ceremony of not just one, but two of her children. It is every parents dream and desire to see their children prosper.

This memorable feat held on Tuesday the 12th of July, when Zahra and Yusuf, the children of the incumbent President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari; graduated from the University of Surrey, in the United Kingdom. While the President was unable to attend, due to his tight schedule and the need to attend to state matters, he was ably represented by his wife (the children’s mother) and other family members.

The happy pictures the first lady took with her children have gone viral sparking some controversy all over the world from Nigerians who have mixed feeling about the whole issue. It is causing conversation about the state of the education in the Country that leads parents to send their children overseas for their education. Some question why the President’s children cannot study in Nigeria, others argue that he has the right and freedom to educate his children where he pleases.
