The Best British Boarding Schools…Coming To Lagos

The best British boarding schools…coming to Lagos

In a few weeks’ time more than 20 of the UK’s leading boarding schools are sending their heads and senior staff to the Eighth UK Boarding School Exhibition in Lagos and Abuja, for what will be the largest event of its kind in Nigeria.

The event is organised by Mark Brooks Education, which has been working in Nigeria since 2008, and run in association with Anderson Education, and is in partnership with the UK’s Department for International Trade.

The UK remains an ever popular choice and there are currently nearly 1,500 students from Nigeria  benefitting from a world class quality education at a British boarding school.

Mr Mark Brooks MBA, an experienced educational consultant explains: “Nigerian students are attracted to the UK by the gold standard of education, world class sporting, creative and performing arts facilities, and the opportunity to establishing lasting networks with friends from across the world.”

He adds: “This results in motivated, skilled and confident young adults who have developed their personal talents and fulfilled their academic potential.  They are highly prized by top universities in the UK, North America and back in Nigeria.”

However, with so many great schools to choose from, it is hard to know where to start… that is why the best British boarding schools are meeting families in Lagos on 10/11 March, and Abuja on 12March.

At the Eighth UK Boarding School Exhibition, parents and their children will be able to discover what the schools have to offer, hear about the opportunities available, ask what boarding life is like and discuss subject options and career development.

The free exhibition will take place at The Wheatbaker Hotel (4 Onitolo/Lawrence Road, Ikoyi, Lagos) on Saturday 10th (11:00 – 17:00) and Sunday 11th March (11:00 – 15:00).

In Abuja there will be an exhibition for parents at the Ibeto Hotel, 34 David Ejoor Crescent, Abuja from 16:00 – 19:00)

Mark Brooks concludes: “This is a great opportunity to receive advice and guidance from educational consultants.  I would encourage parents not to miss this opportunity to explore their children’s future.”
