I Am Me

As an all-girls school, Harrogate Ladies’ College gives girls the freedom and the confidence to be themselves, to grow in confidence and self-esteem.  The school aims to inspire the next generation of women to be brave, to be bold, to challenge perceptions and to realise that anything is possible with hard work, determination and perseverance.

A Warm Welcome for Nigerian Girls

The school has a long history of educating girls from Nigeria and they are always well respected members of the school community.  Nigerian pupils regularly achieve sought after leadership roles within the school and go on to secure places at top UK universities.  A recent Deputy Head Girl from Abuja, for example is now studying Law at Durham University.

Excellent Academic Results

The school has strong academic results.  Girls are taught in small class sizes by excellent and committed teachers who help the girls to achieve the best results they possibly can.  Learning is stimulating and interactive and students are encouraged to think, learn and study independently.

Top University Destinations

The school has specialist programmes to support pupils applying to Oxbridge and also for pupils who wish to follow careers in Medicine and Veterinary Science.  There is also a specialist Business School.

Harrogate itself is a safe and wealthy town with beautiful historic buildings and large open spaces and parks.  It has a vibrant café culture and exclusive shops and boutiques.  The school is located 5 minutes’ walk away from the centre of Harrogate meaning that girls attending the school are able to enjoy being part of a British community.

Harrogate has a direct train connection to London which takes around two and half hours meaning that pupils can easily enjoy a day or a weekend in London to see the sights, shop or visit family.

Convenient Transport links from Nigeria
