After a very eventful and fulfilling work week, you need a place to relax and have fun with your kids. This weekend, hang out with the kids in the following places:
Lekki Leisure Lake
Lekki Leisure Lake is a lake side resort overlooking the Atlantic in the Lekki peninsula area. Lekki Leisure Lake offers the thrill of jet skiing in a safe environment, under the watchful eye and guidance of an instructor. Immerse yourself in genuine quad biking adventure. Quad bikes are suitable for anyone over the age of twelve. The pedal boat rides are a cool way to explore the lake. Children love to go on them; they enjoy propelling and directing the boat with their feet, with each team member working their pedals to achieve the desired navigation plan. Nothing feels more relaxing than cruising along the serene and tranquil water in a pontoon boat.
Entrance fee: Adult N1000 and children N500.
Spice up your weekend by hanging out with your kids at the Silverbird Cinemas. Some great movies are showing this weekend and here is one you may look out for:
Queen of Katwe
A Ugandan girl sees her world rapidly change after being introduced to the game of chess. The nuanced, subtle newcomer Madina Nalwanga plays 10-year-old Phiona Mutesi, a young lady who lives in the slum of Katwe in Kampala, Uganda. She has almost no possessions, can’t read and sells maize in the street to try to scrape together change for her family, which includes two brothers, a sister, and her headstrong mother Harriet (Nyong’o). When it comes to movie surprises, “Queen of Katwe” is a truly pleasant one (As reviewed by Brian Tallerico). The movie is rated – PG and runs for 2 hours 4 minutes.
