A magnificent building dedicated to art. Nigeria’s amazing artists now have a place to call home. For over 40 years Mrs. Nike, the founder, has dedicated her time and energy in training artists, and giving them the opportunity to exhibit their work. This new gallery, spread over 3 floors, has a diverse collection of art by a multitude of artists, celebrating Nigeria’s talent. If you’re feeling creative you can take an art course with Nike or go on one of her week-long retreats outside of Lagos. Kids can also learn the different art techniques. The Young At Art Workshop is a place where the young ones are exposed early to the joy and fun of creativity, while engaging their minds and hands to produce, create, and solve problems that will add value, beauty and color to their lives and that of others in the society in a child friendly, non academic and non formal setting. Children between ages 5 and 16 are put through an intensive (8) eight week practical visual, literary and performing art programmes, where professional facilitators, tutors and mentors coach them in a friendly and entertaining environment devoid of segregation or class of any kind. Woodfields Farm Epe

The first of its kind in Lagos, the Woodfields Farm is home to over 30 wild animals and different species. Now there is somewhere you can go with your kids to show them a little of the wild. They have a mini golf course so after visiting the animals they can have a round of golf. Or if you want to get a little up close and personal with the animals, how about a horse ride?

The Legacy Nigerian Railway Museum

You may not be aware but Nigeria has quite a history with the railway. The museum not only preserves the Railway history, but also Nigerian history. The historical building that houses the Museum is worth a visit on its own. This is a great way to learn a little about the history of Nigeria and also a great way to get away from hectic Lagos for a day in a quiet and serene environment.
