Great news Mums, young Nigerian comedienne, Emmanuella Samuel, popularly known as Emmanuella has been awarded The Afro-Australian Music & Movie Awards (AAMMA).
The award event which was held in Sydney, Australia, saw Emmanuella bag 2 awards – Best new comedienne & princess of comedy, making her the youngest comedienne to win the coveted awards!
Emmanuella is said to be seven years old. She first gained fame after appearing in the Mark Angel Comedy video “This is Not My Real Face”.
Mark Angel, owner of ComedyKits, is also Emmanuella’s uncle and discovered her talent. “Uncle” Mr. Mark was also honoured with a leadership Award.
The AAMMA AWARDS was established by Scrim Entertainment (owned by Daniel Okoduwa) to celebrate the rich culture of African art and entertainment in Australia. Other recipients in the past include Hollywood icon Vivica A Fox, Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Tuface Idibia, John Dumelo amongst others.
Mark Angel’s comedy won best sub-saharan channel in the just conclude Youtube Awards. The organisers have described Emmanuella’s talent as simply PHENOMENAL!
