Nigerian Girl Wins 12 Out of 15 Awards in Ghanaian Varsity

We witness yet another historic event as our fellow Nigerians in diaspora have made our Nation proud again. Fathia Ayodele Kareem is the name of the lips of most of students and parents alike. The news of her achievement has made headlines for the last two days with her epic feat as she single handedly swept away 12 out of the 15 awards that were awarded by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where she studied a course in the Medical Sciences

The Ghanian University in turn witnessed a historic moment since its inception with a record set by our very own Fathia Ayodele who decided to set a pace for herself among her peers during her period of study.

Kareem, 25, a proud alumnus of the Wesley Girls High School, bagged the initial record of 8 out of 15. It was a happy and proud moment for family and friends when she took several turns to receive the awards.

According to a reliable source, when she was asked if she expected to get the number of awards, she said: “Yes and No. Yes because I worked hard by studying and no because I did not expect to receive these number of awards.”

She’s not the only Nigerian to make us proud this year. Earlier in the month of April, another Nigerian girl  Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna was given admission to 8 ivy leagues Universities in the United States Of America. This shows that Nigerian are full of so many potential resources just waiting to be harnessed.

Kudos to Fathia, we at LagosMums congratulate you!
