How important is a support system for a mum? Who is in your tribe, and what kind of support do you have?

Having a strong support system as a mum cannot be overemphasized. In as much as I want to do everything right, I still try to remind myself that I’m human and it’s okay to ask for help or accept help when it comes my way. I have a strong support system from my husband to my in-laws and they are the best anyone can ask for

What do you love the most about your work and all the many expressions of your purpose and passion?

I’m a sales expert and my career gives me the opportunity to meet and interact with different kinds of people.

My contents are mostly centred around motherhood, career and lifestyle. My aim is to share my motherhood journey. As a new mum, I have encountered a lot of things I wasn’t prepared for and I just had to find my way around it. I use my relatable content as a safe space for other mums to let them know that they are not alone and make them aware that they can overcome any obstacle motherhood throws at them.

What are some ways that children and parenting are different from when you were growing up?

Growing up I used to be very scared of my parents and less expressive which I believe is/was common in many African homes.

Now, kids are more vocal and more expressive and I really love it for them because I believe parental bonding is way easier when your kids can freely speak and express themselves.

How are you raising your child to be ready for an ever-changing world?

I am doing my best to train my child to be expressive and vocal cause the world is becoming something else and it’s only safe for your child to see you as a safe space.

How do you balance work and parenting? Is it possible to achieve this?

It’s very possible but quite tasking. Having a to-do list drawn up for the next day at the end of each day helps me to be more organized and consistent with creating content.

What inspired you to venture into being a content creator?

My journey to motherhood was my biggest inspiration.

The future of childcare support for working mums

What has motherhood taught you about yourself?

Motherhood has taught me that the more you put off doing something, the harder it becomes.  When it comes to being productive, patience is a virtue. Instead of struggling against procrastination, my goal is to get things done at the appropriate time.

Use one word to describe one thing that should not be missing from every home?

Share one self-care tip. How do you relax and spend time with yourself?

I send everyone away and try to have a good nap

Can you tell us how you stay stylish and your beauty routine?

I love indulging in my simple skincare routines- seeing my skin glow and feel nourished is all the satisfaction I need.

What advice would you give to other mums?

Do what you know is perfect for you and your baby, Your instincts are the best manual, follow it! Also, try as much as possible to accept help and ask for help, remember you are human and not a robot.
