Please tell us about yourself. Can you share more about all the hats you wear?
I am a proud mother of four in my 40s, balancing my role as a PR professional with being a dedicated 9-to-5 mum. Beyond my career, I am a social entrepreneur driven by a passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives, no matter how small. I am the founder of Hope for Girls and Women Foundation, an NGO born of both passion and personal experience, that works to empower and uplift women and girls.
In addition, I am an active member of Lions Club International, where service and community engagement remain at the heart of my contributions. Altogether, my journey reflects a commitment to family, professional excellence, and social impact.
Share one unexpected thing about you
I am actually a very shy person, which often surprises people because I’m playful, outgoing, and naturally extroverted. While I enjoy connecting with others and being expressive, at my core, I can be quite timid and reserved. That mix of extroversion and shyness is part of what makes me unique. It helps me balance being approachable with being thoughtful.
On Her Relationship
I went through a separation five years ago, but I am now in a loving relationship and looking forward to a bright future. That experience taught me resilience and the importance of hope, and today I embrace life with optimism and gratitude.
Can you tell us one of the funniest things about being a mum?
For me, one of the funniest parts of being a mum is joining in my kids’ play. Every now and then, we skip, run, and dance together, and it always makes me laugh out loud. What’s amusing is that I find myself doing things I’d never want to do alone, but with them, it feels effortless and joyful.
How important is a support system for a mum?
A strong support system is essential for me. Over time, I’ve realized that no matter how independent we are, we all need someone to lean on, especially if we’ve been there for others before. My tribe is small and personal despite my extroverted nature. It includes the motherly support I receive from my mum, the strong family bond I share with my siblings and children, and the unwavering presence of my partner and friends who have stood by me through time and trials. Their support continues to anchor me and give me strength.
What are some ways that children and parenting are different from when you were growing up and now?
Haaa, a lot has changed in this computer age compared to how we grew up. The boldness of kids today, their exposure, and their intelligence are on another level; it’s fast and sometimes sneaky. When they do certain things, I can’t help but laugh because these kids really have the courage to ask me questions I would never have dared to ask my mum.
How are you raising your children to be ready for an ever-changing world?
First, I make them understand that prayer is essential and gratitude is key. I am intentional about their upbringing, leaving no stone unturned in guiding them on the right path. I focus on helping them build confidence and a strong sense of self-worth, rooted in contentment.
Tell us about your beautiful family and your journey to motherhood.
I am a proud mother of four, three girls and one boy. My first child, now in her early 20s, has grown into such a close companion that we are more like sisters; we laugh, play, and she feels free to share everything with me. Then I have teenage twins, and of course, the boy of the house, who brings his own unique energy. The journey of motherhood has been truly awesome. My first experience was out of wedlock, but I have no regrets and was never ashamed of any of my children. I have loved them all deeply and embraced every step of the journey.
What has motherhood taught you about yourself?
Motherhood has taught me to be patient, ever-ready, and prayerful. Becoming a mum in my early 20s shaped me deeply. It instilled resilience and reminded me never to give up, no matter the challenges I faced.
Motherhood doesn’t take away who you are, it helps you evolve. The truth is, motherhood can actually sharpen your focus, strengthen your resilience, and inspire you to pursue your passions even more intentionally. Share on X
What advice would you give to other mums?
My advice is to take things easy and never feel the need to compete with anyone. Motherhood is a journey; embrace it with an open heart and remain calm. I believe there is no problem without a solution, so it’s important to trust yourself and have confidence in your ability to overcome challenges.
Burst one motherhood myth!
One common myth is that motherhood automatically makes you lose your individuality or put your dreams on hold. The truth is, motherhood can actually sharpen your focus, strengthen your resilience, and inspire you to pursue your passions even more intentionally. Being a mum doesn’t mean giving up who you are; it means evolving into an even stronger version of yourself.

How do you balance work and parenting?
Balancing work and parenting didn’t feel like much of a challenge at first, but things changed when I began living with my children away from my mum and siblings. Now that we are always together, I’ve had the chance to understand them more deeply. While it has taken certain things away, it has given me greater gains in connection and closeness, and I’m loving every bit of this journey.
What do you love the most about your work as an Entrepreneur and all the many expressions of your purpose and passion?
What I love most about my work as an entrepreneur is the freedom to express my purpose and passion in many forms. Every initiative I take is rooted in impact, whether it’s through my NGO, my professional career, or my social projects. I find joy in creating solutions, empowering others, and watching lives transform, even in small ways. For me, entrepreneurship is not just about business; it’s about service, creativity, and leaving a legacy of hope and positive change.
What are some challenges of running a business, and how have you overcome them?
Running a business has not been without its challenges. At first, balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood and my professional career felt overwhelming, especially when resources were limited and support systems were not always close by. There were moments of financial strain, times when I had to juggle too many responsibilities, and seasons of self-doubt. But I overcame these challenges through prayer, patience, and resilience. I leaned on my small but strong support system, stayed intentional about my goals, and reminded myself that every obstacle was an opportunity to grow. Today, I see those challenges as stepping stones that shaped me into a stronger, more focused entrepreneur.
What inspires you to stay positive?
What inspires me to stay positive is my faith, my children, and the impact I see in the lives I touch. Prayer and gratitude keep me grounded, while my kids remind me daily of the joy and purpose in my journey. Even when challenges come, I focus on the bigger picture, the legacy of hope and strength I want to leave behind. Knowing that my work, whether as a mother, entrepreneur, or through my foundation, makes a difference gives me the courage to keep smiling and moving forward.
Can you share your self-care tips?
My self-care begins with prayer and gratitude; it keeps me centered and calm. I make time to rest, even in the midst of busy schedules, because I’ve learned that a refreshed mind and body make me more effective. I also enjoy playful moments with my kids, which bring me joy and laughter, and I intentionally surround myself with positive energy from my small support circle. For me, self-care is about balance: nurturing my spirit, caring for my body, and protecting my peace.

○ Is AI more good or bad?
For me, AI is more good than bad because it depends on how we choose to use it. Just like motherhood or entrepreneurship, it comes with challenges, but the benefits outweigh them when you are intentional. AI makes life easier, helps us connect faster, and opens doors to creativity and solutions we couldn’t imagine before. Of course, there are concerns, but I believe with wisdom, boundaries, and prayer, we can guide its use for positive impact. I see it as a tool that supports growth, not something to fear.
