You don’t need to spend a lot of money to do that. We know the thought of what to do can be overwhelming, that’s why we’ve come up with 5 simple ways you can celebrate Valentine’s on a budget :

1. Make dinner

When was the last time you cooked your husbands favourite meal? Now will be a good time. Make a favourite dish and eat at home with the family, add some excitement to the typical family meal with some wine.
If you’re too tired, get your loved one(s) to help out. Or you could simply do home-made pizza with a twist or red pancakes.

On the plus side, you get to avoid the hustle and bustle of vals day in Lagos and spend quality time together as a family.

2. Movie night

Staying at home is definitely cosier (and cheaper) than going to the movies. You can watch romance movies on DSTV channels romance channels or family friendly movies on M-Net Movies Smile. You can also watch movies online or stream movies via Netflix Nigeria. There are other free options to download movies.

Set up a snack bar where individuals can get their choice of snacks and beverages. Turn off the lights and try your best to turn the house to a mini cinema.
