Everyone who saw this photo definitely had a wow moment? Are you wondering why the photo of this father praying for his baby melts our hearts? My guess is that we rarely get to see fathers portrayed this way; in a soft, or vulnerable light when it comes to their children.
This photo captures the softer side of this new fathers’ love for his baby.
His reason for this moment of prayer was even more heartfelt. According to the father, 33-year-old Victor Calmon, his prayer came from a place of deep realization. “That moment when it hits you like a ton of bricks and your hands are shaking; because you suddenly discover your purpose and the reason you’re in this world. To God, I say, ‘Thank you,’ to my wife I say, ‘ I love you,’ and to my son, I say, ‘Welcome!’”
He went on to share that “I saw myself at the centre of a complicated situation, you know, and everything was new to me, and incredible fear came over me. Now, I wouldn’t be worrying just about me anymore; I had this new life to take care of. So I got over my embarrassment and just knelt down and talked to God. I asked him to help me mature, to become a better man, a good father, a good husband, and to increase my desire to grow and work so that my child might not lack anything.”

He went on to share that he helps his wife with diapers and other parenting demands. Parenting is a beautiful thing, it changes your life as you realize the responsibility of caring for a baby who is totally dependent on you.
