11-Year-Old Lands Million Dollar Deal With Whole Foods

11-year-old Mikaila Ulmer is doing more than running on the playground! She just landed a million-dollar deal with Whole Foods, selling her all natural lemonade!

Mikaila won $60,000 for her BeeSweet lemonade business on the TV show “Shark Tank” last year and since then has made major moves. She, along with her mother, used her fear of bees for a research assignment about the endangered status of bees and decided to use honey as sweetener for the lemonade instead of sugar. Mikaila wants to help save the bees and uses some of her profits to help organisations with the same goal as her, she told NBCBLK.

Her lemonade is made from her grandma’s recipe and will be sold at 55 Whole Foods stores, according to NBC. On top of her distribution deal with Whole Foods, she also has one with United Natural Foods and is still a student. She also leads workshops regarding saving the bees and has plans to travel to South Africa to talk to young girls about entrepreneurship.

She has visited the White House and met the President and First Lady at the Kids’ State Dinner and her mother says she is hardworking and kind, which she feels is more important than business.

We are always proud of youth doing more to give back! We can’t wait to try little Mikaila’s BeeSweet Lemonade!
