An Exhibition by Inoussa Dao

A Whitespace Lagos will be hosting a solo exhibition by Inoussa Dao, (@dao_arts2) from 25th – 31st of March.

Born in Burkina Faso, Inoussa Dao is passionate about the creation of furniture and design objects. Besides wood and iron, he diverts the unusual objects of daily life and the transformation of materials. He also works with wheels, pans and other recovered waste to which he gives a new soul in the creation of his furniture.

The exhibition will run until Saturday, 31st March 2018.

It has become pivotal to recognise the urgency of female inclusion in society. This urgency is the bedrock that International Women’s Day (IWD) established its mission to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The IWD theme for 2018 encourages communities to #PressforProgress–. A strong call to think, act and be gender inclusive.

In this vein, Rele is pleased to present 5 female artists exhibiting at Her Story. Each artist shares a thought provoking perspective on what progress means to them, aspiring to provoke the audience into conscious gender inclusion.

Due to popular demand, ARISE Fashion Week (AFW 2018) will return from March 30th to April 2nd at the Lagos Continental Hotel (formerly known as Intercontinental Hotel). It is destined to be an Easter extravaganza like no other.The AFW runway 2018 event in Lagos will feature 45 designers from 14 countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, France, Morocco, the United Kingdom, the United States , the Caribbean and Nigeria. The best  of these will be selected to showcase during NYFW in September this year.
