Malala Yousafzai’s advocacy has since grown into an international movement. Today her life story has been made into a film for the benefit of those who don’t know her and what she has done in the pursuit of world peace.

On the afternoon of 9 October 2012 on her way back from school, an unidentified gunman shot at her three times. He was later found to be a member of the Taliban group which dominated their region in the Northwest of Pakistan. In 2014 she came on a 3 day trip to Nigeria to plead with the notorious terrorist group ” Boko Haram” in a bid to move the support for the release of the abducted Chibok school girls.

A honorary doctorate degree was awarded to her from the University Of Kings College, Halifax Nova Scotia. Today she is celebrated all around the world for a girl turned lady who dared to be different even amidst the trials and tribulations.
