Highlights Of 2018 Thrive Women Conference

The first ever Thrive Women Conference, which was held on the 15th of November 2018 at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island Lagos has been hailed as a resounding success by the participants and its organisers, Thrive Women Solutions.

The conference welcomed female delegates from Lagos and Delta State to meet, listen, deliberate, gain insights and network with fellow female executives, entrepreneurs, would be entrepreneurs, and career women on how to better run their businesses, live financially independent and emotionally healthy lives for themselves, their families and communities as a whole.

Highlights of the conference included a welcome address by the convener Mrs. Rosemary Onyebigwa. The keynote speech was given by Mrs. Funmi Oyetunji CEO AbiTos Financial Services who spoke on the Theme of the conference “The Nigerian Woman as an Economic and Socio-Political Powerhouse.” The other speakers during the opening ceremony were Dr. Akiyode-Afolabi  Chairperson Transition Monitoring Group and Mrs. Mavi Isibor Founder Poise Nigeria.

Other highlights of the conference included 3 Sessions with the compere being Mrs. Ijeoma Onyeator. The sessions were broken into:

Family, Marriage and Parenting with speakers including Mrs. Amina Oyagbola, Mrs. May Omiyi, Mr. Onimisi Adaba and Mrs. Charity Ladi-Babatunde

2nd Session was on Self Discovery and Staying well with speakers including: Mrs. Kofo Akinkugbe, Mrs. Funke-Treasure Durodola, Ms. Chinny Okoye and Dr. Maymunah Kadiri

3rd Session was on Entrepreneurship and finance which was solely anchored by Ms. Ronke Onadeko with a Standing ovation

Finally a Raffle draw sponsored by Dreamworld Africana Amusement park and Parktonian Hotels where only female delegates and their families won the prizes and was anchored by Mr. Onmisi Adaba, Mr. Charles Anyiam- Osigwe and Mrs. Rosemary Onyebigwa.

Supporters of the conference were Nestle Pure Life, Parktonian Hotels, Le Casie Events, City 105.1FM, The Men’s Room, Access Bank Women Initiative, Dream World Africana, Digital Web, Pride Nigeria, Guardian Woman, LagosMums and Selective Insightz. The Conference ended with a Thank you note from the convener Mrs. Rosemry Onyebigwa
