The year 2020 is running out, but before it does, LagosMums would like to reintroduce our mums of the months through the course of the year. We had a lot of amazing mums, who shared their motherhood and life experiences; with every mum sharing insight on their careers, marriages, parenting, and so much more.

Our 2020 LagosMums mums of the months
Bimbo Olasope
Our first mum of the month for the year was Bimbo Olasope. She is a single mum, media personality, public speaker, family life practitioner and an entrepreneur. We certainly enjoyed talking with her and being motivated! She is popularly known as the Mary Poppins of parenting because she loves to help families have fun in any way they can; and prides herself as someone who likes to add value in any way she can, either directly or indirectly.
She is blessed with two wonderful children; a boy and a girl. She discussed about how selfless motherhood had made her become. Talking about how she totally became all about her children sometimes to the detriment of herself because every decision she makes, she puts them into consideration first. Read more about her here!
Ify Okoye
Our next LagosMums mum of the month was Ify Okoye; an entrepreneur, ex-model/ex-beauty queen, YouTuber, homemaker, wife and mum; we really enjoyed talking with her. She is an amazing mum who shared her passion to profit experience.
She has been married to her amazing husband for 5 years now and they are blessed with two super amazing girls. Ify shared her experience on how a mother’s love is unique and can multiply. That amidst all the sleepless nights, messy diapers, constant worrying, tears, tantrums, nothing supersedes the love and bond that she shares with her children. Read more about this amazing mum here!
NK Maduforo
Our LagosMums mum of the month for April was NK Maduforo. She is a sensational singer, songwriter, worship leader, recording artist, wife and an amazing mum; we enjoyed talking with her. She talked about her music, parenting lifestyle and motherhood journey.
Sharing her motherhood journey, she talked about how hard the sleepless nights were, coupled with breastfeeding. But she has an amazing tribe surrounding her, including her darling husband, super mum and dad, amongst others. Read more about this amazing mum here!
Omowunmi Ijalana
Our next LagosMums mum of the month was Omowunmi Ijalana, a Momager to child models – The J3 Sisters, teacher, wife and an amazing mum; we enjoyed talking with her, as she shared her experience as a “momager” and her motherhood journey so far.
She prides herself as an easy-going, fun-loving Christian who puts God first and family second; by family, not only immediate family/blood relative but friends turned family. Read more about this amazing mum here!
Titilayo Oyinsan
Our next LagosMums mum of the month was Titilayo Oyinsan also known as Titi the Dynamite. She is an amazing mum and Momager to children Youtubers – Amber and Ruby Oyinsan, wife and broadcaster among other things. We enjoyed talking to her, as she shared her passion to profit journey and her motherhood experience.
As she was a host for a parenting show for over five years, she wasn’t too surprised with motherhood. The parenting program gave her the opportunity to research so much about what it is to be a mum and what children need at every point in time. Read more about this amazing mum here!
Thelma Chiaka
Our LagosMums mum of the month Thelma Chiaka was next. She is a mum of six beautiful children and a devoted wife. We really enjoyed talking to her, as she shared her passions and her motherhood experience.
She shared her pregnancy and delivery journey of her sextuplets and how her support system stood by her throughout the journey. She talked about how a support system cannot be over-emphasized; which for her are her loving family and friends. Read more about her here!
Layo Demuren
Our August LagosMums mum of the month was Layo Demuren. She is an amazing single mum of two beautiful children. She is the co-founder of an up and coming Premium Image Consultancy brand known as ‘Let’s Dress You Up’, a writer, and an advocate against domestic violence. We really enjoyed talking to her, as she shared her passions and her motherhood experience.
She started writing to vocalize and capture her journey as a single mum openly. She is also a firm believer that the journey is as important as the destination and wanted to capture the journey to inspire other mothers and women who may feel there is a stigma or shame associated with being a single mum. Bunmi George
Our September LagosMums mum of the month was Bunmi George. She is a mum of two wonderful children and a loving wife. She is a weight loss and fitness expert and also the founder of ShredderGang. We really enjoyed talking to her, as she shared her obesity to fitness journey and her motherhood experiences.
She shared on her personal struggle with obesity; how she lost 55kg in 14 months and how she decided to start helping people lose weight. She wanted people’s journeys to be easier than hers; as a lot of people want to lose weight, but they don’t know how to go about it. Read more about her here!
Mayowa Adegoke
Featuring last but not least for the year 2020, was Mayowa Adegoke. She is a new mother to a beautiful baby boy and also a loving, devoted wife. She is an international journalist, living abroad with a wonderful family. We really enjoyed talking to her as she shared her passions and her newfound motherhood experience.
She is the founder of a charity initiative she started far back as 2012 with the backing of a group of friends. She shared with us the good and not so good parts of her pregnancy journey and the tremendous support she received throughout until delivery of her beautiful baby boy.
