Defining Naturalization
Naturalization is described as the legal process that involves a foreign citizen becoming a U.S. citizen. Anyone applying must meet certain criteria before getting started. Once applied, they will have a number of different tasks ahead of them; that will see them become a legal citizen.
Becoming an American citizen comes with advantages; such as no longer being able to be deported, as you now have the same rights as any other American to stay here and work. The Applications Process Explained

Afterwards, they will be required to send off photographs, pay fees, collect documents, attend an interview and finally pass an English and civics test. Assuming they manage to succeed with these steps; they will then be able to take the oath of allegiance, confirming their status as a new U.S. citizen.
