About Whiteoak School
The oak tree is renowned for its great height, age and strength. It is a symbol of endurance. The oak tree though slow at first to produce fruit as it establishes it roots, once it starts it produces acorns for thousands of years. Our aim is to firmly ground our children ‘laying strong foundations’ so that they will produce long lasting fruits. We aim to help children develop creativity, problem solving skills and the ability to be resourceful.
Through attending Whiteoak, they will become successful learners who have enquiring minds, think for themselves, reason, and question and evaluate. In order to achieve this, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National curriculum of England and wales, with emphasis on the Nigerian social studies, Geography and History.
Vision, Mission, Expectations
To develop students who are creative and critical thinkers and have enquiring minds. Develop independent, innovative, knowledgeable children with a vision for a better tomorrow. To develop children who will be a catalyst for change in their chosen field and in the world at large
We aim to achieve this by implementing up to date strategies in order to engage and challenge staff, developing children’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social development ensuring that the best outcomes are achieved by children in our care.

Any other information you would like to share?
Parents are always welcome at Whiteoak. We encourage parents to participate in the classroom. Storytelling, reading a book and cooking projects, a special talent you would like to share, i.e., playing an instrument or sharing an aspect of your culture/family tradition is a wonderful way to enhance the program. We do ask that you schedule extended visits ahead of time with your child’s teacher and you come prepared to participate in the activities.
At the end of term, all parents will receive a report on how their child has developed over the term. There will also be a chance for parents to visit the school and talk about their child. There will also be a Progress review every half term, so you can see how your child is getting on and discuss any concerns with the teacher.
There is CCTV in every room and outside in the playground as well as in the compound. This enables us to make sure your child is safe throughout the day. There is a TV monitor in both offices, so that rooms can be monitored at all times. The director also has access to the cctv via her mobile devices.
What should parents be looking for to decide if your school will work for them/their children?
